My work in the fishing business dates back to 1990 when I worked for a small, local company in Lake Worth, Florida called Chaos Rods at the age of 20. I spent the next 6 years learning and understanding the fishing business and then had an great opportunity at a very young age to have my first business partner and buy the Chaos Rod Company. Over the next few years, we turned Chaos Rods into a household name, selling rods all over the country from the year 2000 to 2007. With a lot of very hard work, we grew the small business from a small local shop into a very busy well known national name brand in just a few short years. Through these years, I was able to make many great contacts and establish myself in the fishing business as a person that could be trusted. I spent those years traveling the country doing numerous boat shows and top notch fishing tournaments. We have built thousands of beautiful custom fishing rods while outfitting many of the world's top tournament sport fishing boats.
I was fortunate enough to have traveled to Hawaii to spend a week fishing with Captain Norm Isaacs. I spent 2 weeks in the Dominican Republic fishing for Marlin with the best fishing teams in the world in the BXRL tournament series. About 7 years ago I was also lucky enough to team up with Philadelphia Phillies Hall Of Fame baseball star Mike Schmidt and fish many years with him in the bahamas while sponsoring and supporting his charity tournament. These were just a few of the great highlights that quickly come to mind out of so many amazing memories from the fishing business. The daily thrill of dealing with the endless satisfied customers that always love their new rods is what always keeps me going. After a long, fun ride with owning my first company, I decided it was time to leave my partner and all of the "Chaos" behind me and start building my very own company.
Connley Fishing opened for business in November of 2009. I spent the prior 19 years in the business, making great contacts and learning everything I could about the fishing industry and I am now very excited to own my very own company now and put all of this knowledge to work. The first 2 years have been absolutely amazing!! The response I have received already far surpasses anything I ever imagined! Thanks to my very loyal customers returning from the many years past as well as all of the new customers I was fortunate to get to know.
I LOVE what I am doing and helping customers find the right rods for their boat is what I live for and the reason I started this business. Every day has been a true blessing and I look forward to helping all of you in in the near future!
