Great all around, general purpose conventional rod. This rod is a great boat rod and is very popular with our fisherman in the Northeast for Blackfish and gig Striper. I like to match this rod with the Avet MX reel or a Shimano Torium 20 sized reel with 20-25# line. These rods are extremely durable and should last you a lifetime.
